Captain Grady Maynard
Captain Grady Maynard is a US Coast Guard Certified Captain and multiple award winning professional fisherman. He began fishing competitively in the Florida Trails Jr. Bassmasters, Teen Sport Fishing Association, the Fishing League Worldwide and the B.A.S.S. high school series. As a result, early on he earned multiple accolades including Angler of the Year and three time Florida State Championship finishes. He skyrocketed to the pro circuit competing in the Bassmaster Southern Opens. Currently competing in the Ram Open Series he is preparing for the next Bassmaster Southern Open.
Not only has he earned respect across the Southeast United States as an exceptional bass fisherman, he earned the distinction as one of the youngest US Coast Guard certified Captains in 2014. Captain Grady provides nature guide services on the Lake Harris Chain of Lakes, works with SEATOW, providing salvage and boat recovery as well as rescue to inoperable boats on the water, and customer service at local bait and local shops.
When his schedule allows, Captain Grady readily volunteers to take kids fishing in tournaments. Fishing for Captain Grady is much more than fish. He shares, “It is the great occasion when we may return to the fine simplicity of our ancestors.Doing what I love every day brings me much happiness and a feeling of contentment.”
