Central Florida Bass Charters service is more than just fishing, we set out on adventures and experiences. It’s about enjoying the scenery and the many unique creatures that are in there natural habitat. From seeing a bald eagle dive down towards the water to catch a fish or seeing a 10ft gator swimming through the vegetation. Seeing how these animals live up close and personal will give you a glimpse of the beauty that nature has to offer and that we take for granted in this technological age and time.
Reserve your trip today with Captain Grady, a US Coast Guard Certified Captain and multiple award winning professional fisherman. Check out our FAQs for answers to our most common questions.
Seasonal Sunshine Bass trip details– We start to offer trips for the hybrid striped bass or “Florida Sunshine bass” in the months of May to September. If you are an angler looking for filets for a fish fry this will be the best option for you! Captain Grady does not provide cleaning services so please bring a cooler with Ice if you desire to keep any fish. We will have ICE on the boat to keep fish cool while on the trip. We highly recommend early morning or late evening for the sunshine bass as that is the best time for this species. All the bait for sunshine bass fishing is provided.

FAQs About Our Trips
What time is best for the bass trip?– 7am is our recommend start time if it is available on our booking system for your desired date. 9am start time is available as a mid morning start high success is still to be found especially in the cooler months. Afternoon trips are popular for folks who have morning plans and looking to go later in the day. They can be productive as well but during the warmer months thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon.
What will we use for bait on the bass trip?– Majority of our charters we use live Wild shiners. We highly recommend live bait for the best possible experience for size of bass and quantity. Artificial trips are optional but not always as productive as our shiner trips.
What does live bait cost?– Live Wild shiners are a separate charge from the charter. Prices vary depending on the season and availability. Call for current shiner pricing. Typically 3-4 dozen shiners will supply 2 anglers for a half day trip. Captain Grady will pick the bait up the morning of the charter and the total is added with the remaining balance of the trip.
Do you provide rods and reels?– Yes, all the equipment is provided with the charter. The only additional charge is for livebait.
Where do we meet? Captain Grady guides primarily on the Harris Chain of lakes and surrounding lakes in the Eustis, Leesburg and Mount Dora area. Captain typically has a recommendation on specific lakes for the charter. Captain Grady will contact you with a boat ramp address before your trip.

What Our Satisfied Anglers Have to Say
A Bass Pro!
My dad and I took a half day trip with Grady on the Harris Chain and absolutely had a blast. When it comes to bass fishing in Florida Grady is as knowledgeable as they come for his young age. Grady is a very experienced angler for age with his tournament fishing experience from the Bassmaster Open Series! Grady was able to cater us with his nice Bass Cat Boat and great fishing rods and reels. Looking for size or numbers Grady is the man to go with. In a half day trip we caught around 20 largemouth with our best 5 totaling 25lbs. Book your trip with Grady soon! The only thing you have to do is give him a call, show up and he provides a great boat, equipment, and bait and be ready to set the hook because Grady will put you on some fish!!

Three English men go Largemouth bass fishing
We were on our holidays from UK and have so enjoyed our afternoon fishing with Grady. His experience of the local lakes and his bespoke bass boat, tackle, bait, took us were to fish and very soon got us into catching the largemouth bass rod bending fish. Grady’s personality made our time such a memorable time in Florida…so recommended!

Great Fishing!
If you’re looking for a good day of fishing with a very knowledgeable and experienced charter captain then pick Grady at Central Florida Bass Charters. He knew where the fish were and put us on both some decently sized bass and crappie. Definitely recommend him and will use him in the future for all my freshwater fishing trips.
